Lake Nakuru was Kenya’s first rhino sanctuary, now having the largest concentration of black rhino and a good number of white rhino, and is one of the very few destinations with both.
The park is one of the few places to see uncommon endangered Rothschild’s giraffe and also see Lions climbing trees.
Some of the other animals in the park are – the buffalo, hippo, striped hyena, colobus monkey, gazelle, rock hyrax, leopard, golden cat, wild cat, and bat-eared fox.
The spectacular scenery of the lake can be seen from the elevated baboon cliff, lion hill and out of Africa hill viewpoints. Lake Nakuru National Park is a picturesque landscape – lake, animals, grasslands, woods, and cliffs.
